Volunteers - Clean up
More than 80 volunteers showed up at the Clean up day of Parc Environnement Naturel Sutton
It was on Saturday, May 28 th that the annual clean up happened. Even with a cloudy sky and a forecast of heavy rain, 80 volunteers answered the call. Armed with shovels, saws, and heavy gear, eight teams worked to cover the entire trail network of 80 km.
The work consisted of cleaning the water bars, clearing branches from the paths and erecting new signs and panels.
The hard day ended around 4 p.m. at the top of the mountain. All got together at Chalet Alt 840 and chatted about their best accomplishment, then they all ate a spaghetti made by another crew of volunteers.
This activity put all the trails back in good condition after the tough winter. Thanks to all members and their families who volunteered to make walking easier for future hikers.
It was the first group activity of the season run by Parc Sutton for their members.
